Week 12: Contemporary Manga

For this week I read silver spoon. I must say at first reading it I really didn't like it because it had a-lot of the same tropes of other animes and mangas. About the boy in a fish out of water situation. I found it quite boring because it didn't appeal to me either and the style is not my taste. I also didn't care about agriculture so there was nothing to really latch me onto the read. However, as I kept on reading, I was so happy to discover that the way she delivers the content was really interesting. It was cool to learn more about agriculture and the different ways people upkeep their livelihoods. They all had different methods and ways of doing things and they branched into some interesting conceptual thoughts too. I thought it was cool how it was like a high school setting but agriculture, and there was a part where he had a chicken on the table right while he was eating his food in the canteen.
